HOW DID IT ALL COME ABOUT?

We're Emma, Dee, and Oonagh. Hello, hi.

FRANKLY CO came about in 2018 after we started FRANKLY SO, a side-hustle newsletter we put together to get some answers from women who'd been there, done it, and come back wiser.

In the midst of work-work, side-work, doing life and raising babies, we realised we were missing a place to bring it all together. A place that aligned with our values, supported our progress. And, somewhere we belonged.

At the time, all we knew was that we needed a solution to make work and life, work better-er. And, we wanted more real-life conversations with other women, 'cause we don't have all the answers but we do have some we can share, and skills we can swap too.

After a heap of research and speaking to as many women as possible, we gathered it was definetely needed. But, it can have a much bigger impact. Bigger than we initially thought.

See, right now women are facing some big problems in terms of access and support for flexible working. Women need flexibility to continue to make an income and grow. And although the uptake by companies providing flexible-work is increasing, the additional support to make it actually work is still not there.

We need support to progress in our careers (even after taking time out to care for families) and we need solutions to working remotely and on our own terms.

FRANKLY CO's mission is to redefine flexible working by offering a place, a community, and additional services that save time and support women who have shit to do.

Our vision is to create a more sustainable future for professional women, companies and the economy.

More support to make flexible-work work, means more women working how they want. It creates a more diverse landscape for working women. It can close the gender pay-gap quicker, and we can see more women in leadership roles. And, an increase of just 6 per cent in the number of mothers working would lead to a $25 billion win for our economy. That's big.

It started as our problem to tackle. But now we get it – it's way bigger.

We still have a long way to go, and we need your help, but we're determined to make this happen for us, and for you.

 

WHO YOU FOR?

Broadly, women. And those who identify as women. We’re for the remote workers, career climbers, digital nomads, work-from-homers, new mums, business owners, side project creators, personal admin do-ers. And, all those hungry to work on their own terms, like yesterday.

We're forging corporate partnerships too, to provide satellite spaces for those transitioning back into the workforce, or simply needing an alternative option to make flexible work, work for them.

We are cultivating a new cultural environment that is expansive, embracing, supportive, and diverse.
